The Secure i.do Client solution serves to connect a fixed partner company location to the Volkswagen intranet at Wolfsburg. The connection is made via a dedicated connection of a certified provider and over a switch managed by this provider.

Employees of the partner company work with original Volkswagen i.do Clients over a direct data communication from approved areas at the partner company regarding information security. The Secure i.do Client area must be fulfilling the requirements the information classification “confidential” and the requirements of Volkswagen regarding Secure i.do Client.

Every user needs Volkswagen PKI for strong authentication at the gateway and to use the i.do Clients. Secure i.do Client connections are limited to the Wolfsburg area.
